About Cozy Plant Home
Cozy Plant Home is a small-team website about houseplants for real homes and real light. We write for people whose rooms are not sunrooms: apartments with one good window, bathrooms with none, hallways that stay dim, and homes where a cat or dog has opinions about every new leaf.
Our focus is practical. Which plants actually tolerate low light? Which ones are safe around pets? What do you do when the leaves turn yellow? We would rather answer a narrow question well than publish a long list of plants that only survive in a greenhouse.

How each guide is made
We want to be straightforward about our process. Research and drafting for this site are AI-assisted. That is only the first step, never the last one.
Every guide is fact-checked by a human against university extension publications and the ASPCA plant database before it is published. Care claims, watering guidance, and pet-safety labels are checked against the original source, and each post carries a Sources list so you can check them too.
The plant photos on this site are real plant photos. We do not dress up stock-looking images as something they are not.
What we will not do
- We do not invent personal plant stories.
- We do not claim to have tested a plant in our own home when we have not.
- We do not use fake author personas or invented credentials.
- We do not publish statistics we cannot trace to a real source.
If a claim cannot be verified, we leave it out.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and we would rather hear about it. If you spot an error — a wrong care detail, a pet-safety label that does not match the ASPCA list, anything — please tell us through the Contact page. Corrections are fixed openly in the guide itself.
