Welcome to Cozy Plant Home
Cozy Plant Home is a small website about houseplants for real homes — the kind with dim corners, north-facing windows, bathrooms with no windows at all, and pets who chew things they should not.
Most plant advice assumes you have a bright, sunny room. Most homes do not. So instead of organizing our guides around perfect conditions, we organize them around the light you actually have.
How the site works
- Guides start with your light. Tell us whether a room is dark, medium, or bright, and we suggest plants that can genuinely live there.
- Every post opens with a quick answer. If you only have a minute, the short version is right at the top.
- Every plant comes with a care card. Light, watering, difficulty, and humidity needs are summarized in one place so you can compare plants fast.
- Pet safety is checked, not guessed. Every plant we label pet-safe or toxic has been checked against the ASPCA Toxic and Non-Toxic Plants list, by botanical name.
Choose your path
- Low Light Plants — Plants for bathrooms, hallways, bedrooms, and rooms that never see direct sun.
- Plant Care Guides — Step-by-step care, including watering, feeding, repotting, and propagation.
- Plant Problems & Fixes — Yellow leaves, drooping, pests, and other common problems, with the cause and the fix.
- Pet-Safe Plants — Plants checked against the ASPCA list, so cats and dogs can share the room safely.
- Plant Shelf & Decor — Shelf, corner, and small-space ideas that look good and keep plants in the light they need.
